Howard Chen is a Taiwanese artist who creates amazing works of art using a nail gun and an air compressor. Chen's art is a series of re-creations of traditional Chinese ink paintings.
Nail art is nothing new, but most artists using nails tend to hammer them in without the use of a power tool. Using large nails tends to create less detailed, although still stunning works. Chen's works are highly detailed thanks to the hundreds of thousands of nails that go into them. Chen uses mosquito nails, headless nails one-third the size of a toothpick, in his art. His latest piece took three and a half months to complete and consisted of 750,000 nails. Now that takes a lot of patience.
