'Bridging Home' by Do-Ho Suh Connects Buildings

This Hovering Cabin by Do-Ho Suh looks like it fell down between two buildings and it is about to fall deeper any second.

Bridging Home is an outdoor installation that is built on an angle, which makes it seem like it is hovering above the ground. Koren sculptor and installation artist Do-Ho Suh created this piece to highlight the tension between strangers and neighbors in large cities, but it also explores the effect of the interconnected world on the community and the individual. Do-Ho Suh uses the effect of gravity in the several balancing buildings that he created in his career.

Do-Ho Suh created the Bridging Home outdoor installation originally for the Liverpool Biennial but it will be seen on the 9th Gwangju Biennial this year as well.
