Have a Hoot in Israel (Controvercial)

Greasy U.S. restaurant chain, Hooters, will be opening its first store in Israel in the city of Tel Aviv this summers. The establishment won't be opening near any major religious centres, however, and will not be kosher. Ofer Ahiraz hopes this will be the first of several Hooters locations to open in Israel. Ahiraz doesn't anticipate a conflict as he sees a market for this type of entertainment.

Reuter's said, "Mr Ahiraz said a specific location in Tel Aviv, Israel's most cosmopolitan city, had yet to be chosen, but he said it would not open restaurants near large religious populations, and they would not be kosher.

He said his plan was to open as many as five Hooters restaurants in the next few years, including one in the southern resort city of Eilat."
