The Hive Battery Concept is User-Friendly and Eco-Friendly

It's unlikely that electronics would soon make the compatibility shift to support this Hive Battery concept, but the idea is an intelligent one. Designers Seong-Hoon Jeong and Jin-Young Yoon have suggested rethinking the form of the standard cylindrical fuel cell in favor of one that solves two different problems.

If the casing of AA batteries were altered to become a hexagonal prism, the user would firstly have a much easier time handling and changing the tiny chargers without the inconvenience of a smooth and difficult grip and their tendency to roll off the table. More significantly, however, by reconfiguring the shape of the chemical container into a multifaceted one, the Hive Battery concept affords tight coupling, no gaps and reduces the space and materials needed to wrap individual packs.
