The Guardian Shows the History of Jerseys

The Guardian recently put together a few informative illustrations showing the history of jerseys from the World Cup. The designs cover the past 84 years, which is a lengthy amount of time to show just how much these looks have changed.

While some countries have experimented with colors, the length of both shorts and sleeves as well as other things, certain nations have been a lot more consistent, sticking to what they know. England for instance has played around with plain white jerseys and even ventured into red at one point, whereas Argentina has stayed quite consistent using a blue and white vertically striped pattern for the most part.

No matter what the designs, these are sure to provide some bouts of nostalgia for certain people. Photo Credits: designboom, theguardian
