Holocaust Remembrance Apps

This History App by Pocketshul Helps You Remember Yom HaShoah Every Day

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day yesterday (April 16th) -- about 35 years ago the US Congress voted "a national day of remembrance of victims of the Holocaust be established in perpetuity and be held annually" -- Pocketshul released this history app. 'Sacred Ground: A Holocaust Remembrance Ritual' is a free app you can download for a "complete 10 minute immersive experience." For Yom HaShoah, you can witness the testimony of a Holocaust survivor, prayers sung by cantor Emanuel Perlman and essay by Richard Dreyfuss on remembrance.

Co-produced by Bill Riley, the history app adds a ritualistic element to remembering the genocide and brings the phrases 'Never Again' and 'Never Forget' into the digital realm of your daily life.
