Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro, a robotics expert based in Japan, recently revealed two androids named Kodomoroid and Ontonaroid. The droid robots, which look like twin girls, will serve as the world's first robot newscasters.
The robots, along with their predecessor the Telenoid, will be permanently on display at Japan's National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Visitors to the museum will be able to watch and interact with the life-life robots as they report both global and local news, along with scientific facts that relate to the museum's theme. They can relay the information in numerous languages and voices, so international tourists can hold knowledgeable conversations with them too.
The exhibit will start at the end of the month and it's set to be called 'Android: What is Human?'
