Sprawling Wood-Tiered Homes

The 'Hillcrest House' is Opulent and Woodsy

Plans for the 'Hillcrest House' have been sent to the Contemporist blog on behalf of builder Michael Knight. Knight is a member of the Victoria Design Group, an architectural firm based in Canada's Victoria, BC region.

The slates of wood that line the Hillcrest House are instantly reminiscent of dwellings one would expect to find along Canada's western coast. And though the concept is woodsy in several regards, it is also entirely extravagant with sprawling closet spaces, entertainment rooms and his and hers sinks.

Victoria Design Group's penchant for the modern meets rustic home is engrained in its history. It has been working from the time of its foundation in 1970 to merge the best of both worlds, and this distinct preoccupation is one that resonates well with BC's culture.
