Voice-Controlled Hotel Suites

This High-Tech Hotel Integrates Siri for Hands-Free Room Control

Now that intelligent personal assistants are becoming fixtures within the home, Starwood's Aloft Hotel Group is introducing 'Project: Jetson' to create high-tech hotel rooms with voice control capabilities.

With Project: Jetson, guests at Boston's Aloft hotel begin by speaking a few sentences to an iPad so that the device can pick up on the unique patterns of their voice. From there, guests are able to take advantage of voice-activated room features, such as saying "Relax" to create a cozy lighting atmosphere or "Review" to turn on the TV. Siri is also able to answer questions, change the music playing in-suite or adjust the room's temperature.

With services like 'Text It Get It,' robotic butlers that replace maid service and this newest innovation, the Aloft Hotel Group continues to put establish itself as a leader in integrating cutting-edge technology into the hospitality experience.
