The Heinz Eco-Friendly Sleeve Packaging Replaces Shrink Wrap

Shrink wrap is commonly used to keep product multipacks together, but the Heinz Eco-Friendly Sleeve packaging has been unveiled as an alternative that is completely free from plastic. The sleeve packaging is recyclable and made with PEFC-certified paperboard in order to make it a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic options. The sleeve wrap also uses 50% less material compared to a completely enclosed box and has 10% less paperboard than existing wraparound box styles on the market.

Kraft Heinz's Northern Europe President Jojo de Noronha spoke on the Heinz Eco-Friendly Sleeve packaging further saying, "Our packaging innovation team continues to work hard to develop further sustainable solutions across our business as we make a £25 million investment over three years to implement the infrastructure needed to ensure this roll-out is a success, which will be a win for the environment as well as shoppers across the UK."
