The 'Guitar Ear-O' Headphones have an eco-friendly headphone design that consists of parts that once made up a guitar. Even though its form has been completely reimagined, the headphones are quite poetic in their reuse of materials, because the guitar-made headphones are still able to play music.
This was the driving force behind the project by Carina Ostermayer, who describes that she gave an old instrument a way to "live a life in a different shape, but with keeping the same function."
The beautiful upcycled headphones use the guitar's old fingerboard as the strap that connects the two speakers and the ear coverings are made from pieces of the guitar's body, which is evident from the glossy finish on them.
