It hardly ever crosses our minds that the hands we see moisturizing, wearing engagement rings or pouring that mystery blue liquid onto sheets of paper towel actually belong to living, breathing human beings, walking the streets. In fact, we could cross paths with hand models all the time, and never know it: totally unaware that their phalanges could well be insured for up to seven figures.
Executive creative director of Anomaly London Alex Holder, explains, "After spending lots of time on sets with hand and feet models I became fascinated with this strange industry. How did they become hand models? Were they ‘spotted’? How do they look after their hands?"
