INEOS and LACTEL Unveiled New Recycled HDPE Milk Bottles

These recycled HDPE milk bottles have been unveiled through a partnership between INEOS and LACTEL to identify what can be done to make packaging more eco-friendly. The bottles are positioned as a world first and are made using a polyethylene that has been derived straight from post-consumer recycled materials. This process is reported to replace the need for traditional raw fossil fuel-based materials to highlight a closed-loop system for packaging.

LACTEL General Manager for France Anne Charles-Pinault spoke on the new HDPE milk bottles saying, "This trial production of 140,000 milk bottles, based on HDPE from advanced recycling technology, is a world first and a major step forward for Lactel towards a circular economy. This new innovative product will be used in the Montauban production plant for an initial production run. At Lactel we are extremely excited to bring this new environmental innovation to our iconic milk bottles."
