Foldable Tandem Kayaks

The Haven Kayak Transforms into a Compact Package

Oru Kayak revolutionized the concept of foldable boats and its new Haven kayak continues the brand's tradition of innovation by being the "first origami tandem kayak." Comprised of a lightweight shell, the Haven kayak can easily fold down to the size of a large suitcase that weighs just 40 pounds. When folded, the kayak can be carried by just one person and is rated for 20,000 fold cycles.

The kayak itself is made from five-millimeter polypropylene and is fully translucent with orange plastic boards across the hull. The orange sections provide as exterior protection for the kayak when folded and are fastened with just a few buckles. The entire piece takes just 10 minutes to unpack and transform into a kayak and users can easily follow folding patterns and color-coded stitching and loops.
