Prestigious Free Photography Courses

Harvard's Photography Course is Available Online

Attesting one's attendance at Harvard brings with it a degree of prestige, but many more people are now able to claim their place in the Ivy Leagues thanks to the new status of Harvard's photography course. The famous academy has recently made its photography course a massive open online course, or MOOC, and posted it to a repository.

Harvard's photography course is available on ALISON, an online learning resource that houses thousands of courses from hundreds of institutions of higher learning. Aside from Harvard, schools offered on ALISON include Stanford, MIT, Columbia and others. The service also includes learning materials from organizations like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Google.

The only downside of Harvard's photography course is that it's slightly dated. The course is from 2009, so while the principles are still applicable, some of the software is no longer relevant.
