Nike Debuts the Two-Part 'Hangul Day' Air Max Collection

A two-piece 'Hangul Day' pack from Nike is being released to commemorate the creation of the Korean alphabet. The models for this release include a lighter Air Max 1 which is a women’s exclusive, and a darker Air Max 97.

Subtle Korean writing can be seen on the translucent blue heel counter, jelly Swooshes, and stylized lace tips of the Air Max 1 WMNS ‘Hangul Day.’ The lateral panels are covered in suede, and the collars are lined with fleece to keep the feet warm during the colder elements. In addition, the midsoles' air units are covered, and the pairs' two-tone rubber outsoles complete this design.

The Air Max 97 emerges with a combination of leather and suede uppers, pull-lock laces, and Nike writing inscribed above the lateral cutouts in transparent materials. Reflective accents can be seen throughout, elevating this pair from Nike’s previous colorways. Sail midsoles and frosty translucent outsoles complete the design.
