Carbon Fiber Surfboard Sculptures

Hang 10 Million is a Project to Explore the Surfboard Form

'Hang 10 Million' is a project by AECOM, which explores the form of the surfboard using carbon fiber materials. Usually this sport equipment is made out of some form of plastic, but now AECOM wants people to look at this sporting equipment in a new light.

To create this design, the team basically wrapped a surfboard in thin strands of carbon fiber, and then removed the surfboard itself. The result is a moulded design of the board, allowing one to look all the way through to the other side. For avid surfers looking for some decoration in their home, this would be the ideal decal to hang on the wall as a source of inspiration. Photo Credits: designboom, aecom
