Upscale Amber Ales

Guinness' The 1759 is a Luxury Premium Beer

Guinness The 1759 is a new rare and limited edition amber ale made from a recipe that's 200 years old, intended to be sipped from a stemless champagne flute. Inspired by the growing popularity of craft brews, this "ultra premium beer" was launched for the holiday season as part of Guinness' Signature Series of luxury beers.

Only 90,000 bottles of The 1759 beer will be made, but since it was crafted with the holiday season in mind, thankfully the 25 oz bottles contain enough to serve four. As for the taste, the beer is made with peated malt whiskey, which gives the amber ale the scent of butterscotch, along with caramel and fruit flavors. The 1759 bottles are set to go on sale later this month for about $35 each.
