The newest addition to the MT-G line of timepieces is the G-SHOCK MTG-B4000, and it features a unique frame developed in collaboration between human designers and AI technology. Like other styles in the MT-G line, this timepiece unites metal and resin but this shock-resistant watch sports a distinctive frame that represents the first time a Casio consumer timepiece has incorporated generative AI technology.
The design process began with proposals from human designers, from which AI conducted load simulations from data on G-SHOCK's shock-resistant construction. After structural configurations were optimized, the AI-assisted designs were refined through testing and adjustments. Uniquely, this frame absorbs loads applied to the band thanks to band connection parts integrated directly into the frame.
