Green Mountain Creamery's Skyr Makes Icelandic-Style Yogurt Accessible

Green Mountain Creamery was established in 2011 and set out to make Greek yogurt approachable to consumers, especially those unsure of its taste and texture. Now, the Vermont-based company is venturing beyond Greek yogurt and is hoping to make the Icelandic-style yogurt skyr just as accessible to consumers. To do this, the company has launched a new range of blended skyr products in indulgent flavors like Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Cream and Key Lime.

The Vermont-style "gateway" skyr is said to be thick and creamy, yet mild in flavor. Simple products are at the base of the new dairy products, including pasteurized whole milk, cane sugar as a sweetener, non-GMO corn starch, natural flavor, plus fruit juices or vegetable concentrates for added color.
