Skeletonized Luxury Watches

The Grande Seconde Skelet-One is a Fantastic Timepiece by Jaquet Droz

The Grande Seconde Skelet-One is an amazing timepiece by Jaquet Droz that not only celebrates the watchmaker's 280th anniversary, but also marks the first time the Grande Seconde is being made as a skeletonized piece. This latest iteration from Jaquet Droz maintains the traditional elements of the iconic Grande Seconde, but also radically changes the design with sub-dials made of sapphire and astounding skeletonized movement.

The Grande Seconde Skelet-One manages to keep the watch's signature asymmetric figure of eight dial, but the openwork body now gives an unobstructed view of the movement and internals of the timepiece. The timepiece is powered by an automatic caliber JD2663.SQ, with the movement being given a dark gray treatment to contrast the watch body. A gold centralized rotor is engraved with the individual serial number and is also skeletonized. The case of the watch measures in at 41mm x 12.30 mm for the gold model and is slightly larger at 41.5mm x 12.48 mm for the ceramic model.
