The installations all use a great amount of glass in addition to metal and other pieces to hold it all in place.
Caldwell chooses to specifically arrange each mirror in a way so that each piece plays off of each other. The mirrors all reflect off of one another and the space around them, including the room they are set up in. I imagine the viewers attending the gallery will see refracted images of themselves. This is a great way to emphasize the idea of self-obession in a world where importance and power is based off of qualities like beauty. There is also the feeling of being, when approaching any of Graham Caldwell’s pieces you are being watched by the mirrors, the other people in the gallery looking at the reflections and yourself.
