A Google Metropolis is Materializing in Silicon Valley

A 'Googleplex' can be found in many major international cities, but California will soon be the home state of the official Google metropolis near its Mountain View headquarters. In true municipal spirit, "Googletown" will be built with offices as well as community facilities and residential neighborhoods.

For those who live and breathe Google, the Google metropolis will have 180,000 square feet of housing, Google sports complexes, daycare facilities, shopping centers and more, all built up on the NASA Ames space base for its devoted employees.
