The poster for the upcoming reboot of the decades old franchise depicts the title monster towering over the city of San Francisco and the Transamerica Pyramid. The beast is massive, walking to a city like a toddler knocking over toy blocks.
The Godzilla poster promises an epic disaster movie and a terrifying giant menace, certainly taller than King Kong or Hollywood's previous attempt at adapting the Japanese Godzilla franchise in 1998. The film will receive a boost of support from fans of last summer's Pacific Rim, another giant monster movie. After the failure of Roland Emmerich's Godzilla in 1998, the fans and critics alike will be watching to see how this new take on the pop culture beast will fare.
