The Bolita Illuminator Must Be Moved Manually to Control Light

Design studio kaschkasch's Bolita globe lamp design underlines the importance of human touch, especially as we live in a digital age that encourages clicking, swiping and even interactions that are completely contactless.

While there are some lamps that can be turned off or on just by coming into contact with a surface, this lighting design encourages a different kind of interaction between people and objects. As the design studio describes, "Bolita seeks out that user interaction." The Bolita lamp was intentionally designed to respond to touch and it takes the form of a glass structure that's meant to be moved to dim or boost the LED light housed within—all without mechanical or electronic processes.
