This Rayleigh table lamp designed by Sean Augustine March functions as both a light fixture as well as a glass prism art piece. Designed like a sculpture, the shape of the lamp is visually intriguing, with various inner prisms built by multiple triangular shapes. When lit, the lamp acts as a complex glass prism through which light shines, turning various colors and creating memorizing patterns. When off, the lamp still refracts light with its tinted glass surfaces, providing a neon pop of color in any room.
The light is made from optical-grade dichroic glass, the same material that is used in some glass jewelry. In addition, the glass prism lamp uses a 3W LED light bulb which saves power, resulting in cheaper electricity bills as well as a more environmentally friendly device.
