Canada-based Studio Naturehumaine put a glass floor in between the levels of a two-storey house in Montreal.
The insertion of the glass floor allows light to stream through all levels of the house. Large skylights in the roof allow the translucent sections of the floor to share the sun with the rest of the house.
The glass floor is complemented by hardwood that encompasses the see-through sections. Rustic wooden boards were also reintroduced into this new house to add some umph to the featured staircase.
The combination of glass and wooden accents gives this newly renovated house a beautiful modern look. The whole house glows because of the translucency between the levels. It's a real eye-catcher both inside and out.
