The GETIER Bench is Contemporary Thief-Proof Seating

Thieves better think twice before trying to get their hands on the GETIER Bench. Designers Thomas Perz and Petrus Gartler of Designerei Graz designed this bench to add a little artistic flair and modern design to the usually drab and dull public park benches.

The GETIER Bench comes with a short chain that prevents thieves from taking off with it and allows the user a small bit of control over which way they sit. The GETIER Bench took top prize in a recent 'Design in Public Spaces' competition so there's a good chance that you'll see this bench in your local park sooner rather than later.
