Honda's 'The Ultimate Get-Well Card' Uses AR to Cheer Children in the Hospital

Children who must spend the holidays in the hospital are not often treated to presents and some of the other parts of the season that consumers most look forward to, and in acknowledgement of this, Honda created 'The Ultimate Get-Well Card.'

The augmented reality get-well card was shared with children at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), providing them crowdsourced messages from well-wishers to provide them strength and support. Additionally, Honda collected some personalized videos from the hospital staff to share with the young patients.

The AR cards also make the most of technology to create dazzling winter scenes, complete with friendly snowman characters, falling snowflakes and other smile-inducing delights of the winter season.
