Expressive Everyday Graphics

Geoff McFetridge's Ivory & Black Exhibit Mimics Daily Interactions

Geoff McFetridge's Ivory & Black gallery exhibit is now on display at the London space. The Los Angeles-based artist has been for the most part associated with film production, especially given his highly esteemed work with The Virgin Suicides and Where The Wild Things Are.

McFetridge has broke with his on-screen past with these graphic illustrations. The solo show, titled 'Around Us & Between Us,' is modeled after everyday occurrences. A couple that the artist observed riding together on a bike was an image that remained seared in his mind, and is now one of the primary subjects of his collection.

The beauty of his work is in the mundane, which when done up with McFetridge's touches, come across as anything but dull.
