Realworld Secured $3.4M for Its App That Helps Gen Z Navigate Adulthood

Realworld, the community-driven app designed to simplify adulthood for Gen Z, recently secured USD 3.4 million to expand its offerings. The New York-based startup was founded by Genevieve Ryan Bellaire, who found herself "just totally unprepared for all these real-world things" despite having an MBA and having completed law school.

"There’s tons of content out there out there that can tell you to fill out this form to sign up for a credit card, but you don’t know what you don’t know," Bellaire said. "There’s not one place that defines adulthood." To help with this process, the Realworld will offer a "starter pack" that features 15 playbook that spans finding an apartment, understanding income taxes, and creating a budget.

The Realworld plans to launch by May 2021 to become what Bellaire described as a "platform, marketplace, and community."
