Scooter-Charging Hatchbacks

The Geely McCar Comes With its Own Electric Scooter

Urbanites are going to flip when they see the new Geely McCar. Chinese automaker Geely recently unveiled the McCar at the Shanghai Motor Show and I can safely say that it is unlike anything I have ever seen before.

The Geely McCar is a plug-in hybrid that has a six-hour charge time and and can run for 93 miles solely off electricity or for 373 miles using a combination of gas and electricity. The most unique feature of this car has to be the included scooter that sits in the trunk and is charged by the car. The scooter has a top speed of 18 mph, a maximum range of 18 miles and a charge time of two hours. There is a shot that the Geely McCar could see production, but I wouldn't expect to see it stateside without some major tweaks for height and weight.
