I never knew that a piece of black wire could evoke such powerful emotions until I saw the work of Gavin Worth. Gavin Worth is a self-taught artist who has created moving sculptures using only black wire.
Worth's sculptures are designed to capture the simplest and most "unguarded" moments of human existence. Many of the artist's wire sculptures focus on scenes of subdued emotion, for example a head touch, between a man and a woman. Many of the pieces also appear to be alive as Worth has managed to capture simple motions and make them moving. The sculptures of the women are easily my favorite as they are the most lifelike and detailed of the bunch. You can check out some samples of Gavin Worth's work here.
