Airport-Inspired Branding

Gate Skincare Packaging Attracts the Traveling Businessman

When designing the container for a product, it isn't all about aesthetics. In its attempt to appeal to a very specific market, Gate Skincare packaging reinforces that functionality is especially important.

Four items that include moisturizer, shaving cream, aftershave gel and toothpaste have been bundled up in a way that makes them ideal for taking traveling. With a volume of just 25 milliliters each, the lot of them meet the maximum allowance of lotions and liquids that a passenger can take with him in his carry-on baggage. Long and rectangular containers make these dispensers as easy to pack as pens with the possibility of being slipped conveniently into side pockets.

To emphasize the airline inspiration behind Gate Skincare packaging, the student designers of BHSAD Russia assigned them letters and bright colors and used a digitized typeface so that they would resemble the signs displayed in air terminals.
