Parson’s Creates Garments of the Future with Its New Techno

The Parson School for Design and its sister school Mannes College The New School for Music have been creating a vision of the orchestral performance garments of the future. These new clothing designs will react with the movements of the performers and project images onto the clothing itself as they play music.

These garments of the future will combine vintage clothing with a modern style that will create clothes that are responsive to musicians' movements when they perform. This wearable technology has been incorporated into the clothing and is designed to show how performances can be enhanced by visuals with digital projections that are activated by motion and sound.

This new technology will give a new perspective to how we listen to music; a collaboration of music and visual arts could be a new hit in both fashion and music industries.
