Devilish Cemetery Photoshoots

Julia Kiecksee's 'Garden of Angels' Series is Dark and Moody

Dark and moody, the 'Garden of Angels' photoshoot is set in Ohlsdorf Cemetery, which is located in Hamburg, Germany, and happens to be the biggest non-military cemetery in the world. As though chronicling the story of an angel and devil, it alternates between all-black and all-white looks. The former makes the model look like a devilish widow while the latter makes her look like an angelic bride.

Lensed by Hamburg-based photographer Julia Kiecksee, the Garden of Angels photoshoot was captured completely in black and white. Dramatically Gothic, the photo series is rife with closeups and far off shots. The stony backdrop adds an air of foreboding, especially when the line of tombstones are in view.

The Garden of Angels photoshoot was styled by Irina Skladkowski. She complemented the theatrical setting with equally theatrical outfits.
