Team-Based Workshops and Toronto-Wide Trend Safaris

Future Festival Day 2 featured an action-packed schedule that kicked off at the Fairmont Royal York ballroom and ended with an epic after party back at Trend Hunter headquarters. The engaging morning programming featured collaborative results-driven sessions that worked to expose overlooked patterns of opportunity for attendees and their teams.

Future Festival's series of Trend Safaris offered attendees a firsthand look at the trends that will come to define 2016. From rentable fashion to the pursuit of crafting the perfect cup of coffee, each Trend Safari adhered to a theme that linked back to Trend Hunter's 2016 Trend Report and Future Festival modules.

The immersive Trend Safaris were as follows:

A) Micro Retail
- Rent Frock Repeat (Learn the business model, and see the designer outfits, that makes rentable clothing a possibility for Canadian women)
- Indiegogo (Interact with some of the newest, and most innovative, tech pieces from Indiegogo)

B) Beer & Coffee Innovation
- Fermentations (Step into the shoes of a brewmaster by bottling your own beer or wine)
- Monarch Methods (By refining classic coffee brew methods through carefully re-designed equipment, Monarch demonstrates how to brew a perfect cup of coffee)

C) Food Culture & Graffiti
- Sushi-Making (A sushi-making lesson with Sang Kim, that focuses on a mixture of history, sushi-making and marketing for the next generation.)
- Street Food/Art (Experience Toronto's iconic Graffiti Alley while tasting some of the best street food the city has to offer.)

D) Emerging Arts & Graffiti
- Street Food/Art (Experience Toronto's iconic Graffiti Alley while tasting some of the best street food the city has to offer.)
- Analogue Gallery (Walk down Rock & Roll memorabilia lane, including some of the most iconic photos of musical legends.)

E) Virtual Reality & Entrepreneurship
- Indiegogo (Interact with some of the newest, and most innovative, tech pieces from Indigogo)
- AR/VR (Try the latest Smart Glasses and VR gear to experience first hand how AR & VR technology & trends will transform how you connect, educate & move consumers to action.)

F) Brain Reading & Sushi Culture
- Muse Headbands (Hi-Tech urban meditation, muse headbands connect with you brain's wavelengths to help you relax)
- Sushi-Making (A sushi-making lesson with Sang Kim, that focuses on a mixture of history, sushi-making and marketing for the next generation.)

G) Retail Reinvention
- Jackman Reinvents (Tour a couple reinvented retail locations with one of the world's top rebranding agencies.)

H) Sustainability & Coffee Innovation
- Monarch Methods (By refining classic brew methods through carefully re-designed equipment, Monarch demonstrates how to brew a perfect cup of coffee.)
- Sustainable Bees (This 'bee hotel' provides a sanctuary and sustainable home for pollen-producing bees in the city of Toronto.)

- AR/VR (Try the latest Smart Glasses and VR gear to experience first hand how AR & VR technology & trends will transform how you connect, educate & move consumers to action.)
