The aptly named Fruit Bowl 128 is a fruit bowl made out of 128 pieces of cardboard. The bowl was created by SEMdesign and is made entirely out of recycled material.
Upcycling has been all over the place recently, with cardboard being used specifically to create new and exciting items as opposed to old and unexciting sheets of recycled cardboard. Fruit Bowl 128's layered design allows you to shape it as you see fit. You can expand and contract the bowl to fit the amount of food you have. SEMdesign has decided to give everyone the chance to create their own Fruit Bowl 128 by making the bowl's instructions downloadable. I love the idea, but I am a little worried that even the craftiest of people won't be able to find 128 pieces of cardboard.
