McDoanld's is Currently Testing a Line of Frozen Sodas

While the season for cold drinks may be drawing to a close, McDonald's is currently experimenting with the concept of frozen sodas. Similar to the slushie-style drinks the chain offers in countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and Australia, the new drinks put a tasty twist on ordinary soda.

The new frozen sodas are currently being tested at locations in the Wichita area, as well as parts of central and western Kansas. The drinks themselves consist of Coca-Cola sodas such as Wild Cherry Fanta and Raspberry Fanta in the form of ice-cold slushies. If picked up at other locations, the new drinks would join McDonald's existing frozen beverage lineup, which includes lemonades and coffee-based frappes.

The new frozen fountain drinks demonstrate one way that McDonald's can reinvent its soda drinks.
