Charitable Food ATMs

This Free Food Fridge is Operated by a Local Church in West Delhi, India

Based in Delhi, India, this church provides hungry members of the local community with a free food fridge so they can help themselves. The Share N Care refrigerator is located in Janakpuri in west Dehli, serving the poor and hungry as well as the laborers and rickshaw drivers working in the area. It has been especially popular with school children too.

Installed last Sunday by the Mar Gregorious Orthodox Church, the free food fridge is stocked daily with sandwiches, fresh fruit and cold water. They plan on staying open throughout the swelteringly hot summer months, which is key in keeping the population nourished and hydrated in extreme weather conditions.

This is a charitable solution to hunger that takes climate conditions and long commutes into account.
