On-Demand Vaccination Services

The Newly Launched UberHealth Delivered a Free Flu Shot Kit

To launch Uber's new UberHealth program, the car service partnered with Vaccine Finder to offer a free flu shot kit for a limited amount of time. The initiative involved a registered nurse delivering a vaccine kit for up to ten people on demand. This service was restricted, however, to Boston, New York and Washington DC and was only available on October 23rd, 2014 from 10am to 3pm. Just one kit containing vaccinations for ten people would be delivered per request.

The free flu shot could be requested using the Uber app. This was not the first time Uber tried to expand their on-demand model to other areas beyond car rides. This included ice cream trucks and romantic Valentine's Day deliveries.
