Painterly Coffee Cups

The Work of Francesco Clemente is Introduced to illy Art Collection

A new addition has been added to the illy Art Collection: cups by Neapolitan artist Francesco Clemente. The illy Art Collection is a set of coffee cups and cans decorated by a range of international artists, such as Jeff Koons, Francsis Fod Coppola, Jan Fabre and Tobias Rehberger.

Now, Francesco Clemente's cups will be added to the collection. These cups feature visually colorful "explosive" elements, with saucers that have red letters in the middle. This, according to Popsop, "reminds us that coffee hour is a great time to communicate." There are six collectible cups in the new collection and they are each signed and numbered by Clemente.

Along with Francesco Clemente's cup additions, the illy Art Collection is also featuring a second can by Cameroon-based Alioum Moussa, called "Energie Love Difference."
