The 'Foot Mouse' Concept by Califor Design is Inclusive

Inclusivity in design has become of paramount importance and is seeing solutions like the 'Foot Mouse' concept be designed. Conceptualized by Califor Design, the mouse is designed to be used with the foot rather than the hand to accommodate those who are unable to use their hands because of a disability or neurological condition. The mouse would function much like a conventional one, but has a sculpted form that requires the user to click or scroll using their toes.

Califor Design spoke to Yanko Design about the mouse saying, "The concave design of the mouse’s top surface is combined with human-machine engineering principles to ergonomically fit the complex curvature under the foot, ensuring a stable and comfortable user experience."

The 'Foot Mouse' concept is the winner of a Red Dot Design Concept Award for 2022.
