'The Last Adventure's of Joe's Left Foot' is a Cheerful Documentation

Foot amputations are not something people often celebrate. Yet after being told that the only way he could continue to pursue his passion for extreme sports was to sever all ties with his left foot, Joseph Pleban decided to take the news in stride and have a few last adventures with it before its inevitable end. It culminated in the creation of 'The Last Adventures of Joe's Left Foot.'

Before his foot amputation, made necessary because of a rare bone and joint disease causing recurring benign tumours in his ankle, the Virginia native went snowboarding, skydiving and even got a tattoo to ensure the foot amputation went off without a hitch. The power of humor is beautifully captured in this series of images and more.
