ENGWE Hopes to Redefine the Category with O20 Boost

ENGWE has introduced the O20 Boost — a folding electric bicycle that aims to reconcile the traditional trade-off between portability and performance, which has historically defined this product category.

The company positions the O20 Boost model as offering full-performance capabilities within a foldable frame. The two-wheeler features a 75Nm high-torque drive system, a 720Wh battery from LG that provides up to 140 kilometres of range, and a 50mm front suspension system paired with puncture-resistant tires for improved ride comfort. Additional features include a torque sensor for smoother power delivery, a 4A fast charger that fully replenishes the battery in approximately three and a half hours, and an integrated anti-theft system compatible with Apple's AirTag tracking devices.

The O20 Boost is currently available at an introductory price of €1,099, which is less than half the cost of comparable premium folding models.
