Airy Engineering Offices

The Fluor Office Features a Massive Skylight and Open Atrium

Paul de Ruiter Architects recently designed the new Fluor office in Hoofddorp, Holland. The high-end engineering firm's headquarters is befitting of the company's international prestige, with a beautifully airy design that maximizes light and space for the hundreds of employees working there.

The Fluor office has several floors with individual rooms and spaces, but the most notable aspect of the building is undoubtedly its atrium. Entering the building, employees step into a space that's just as bright and airy as the outdoors they came from. This is achieved through a massive skylight that covers virtually the entire roof of the building as well as soft, light wood panelling along all the railings of the grand staircase and pathways that encircle the atrium on the upper floors.
