Snøhetta and Ateljé Lyktan merged their talents in crafting a line of lighting fixtures entitled the 'Flik Flak Lamps.' The Flik Flak series features three different types of illuminating lamps: a wall-mounted style, a table lamp and a floor lamp. This is a milestone for Snøhetta, as it is the design studio's first lighting project.
The Flik Flak lamps have an exterior that is crafted from black birch veneer and it encases a LED lighting strip. A piano hinge holds together the planks so that it opens up at a 180-degree angle, illuminating light. When the angle closes up, it allows the light to focus on a highlighted area, whereas it offers more light when it is opened fully at 180 degrees.
All three styles of the Flik Flak Lamps will be available at the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair on February 6th to February 10th.
