Danish designer Cecilie Manz creates an elegant flat-pack table titled 'Plint.' Built for furniture store Takt, the piece joins an existing collection of flat-pack furniture.
A lot of thought has been put into assuring that the design of the piece is intuitive. The silhouette can be easily assembled, without the need for any glue, bolts, or screws, as consumers need to only secure two components together with leather loops. In this design, Cecilie Manz uses "leather as a hinging material," emphasizing the functionality behind the fabrication, which has been sourced from Tärnsjö Garveri—"a small Swedish tanning house."
Takt founder Henrik Taudorf Lorensen shared about the aesthetic and the company's choice to collaborate with Manz: "We subscribe to classic Danish design virtues: a focus on functionality, honest and natural materials, reduced ornamentation while still retaining personality."
