Garçon Wines is a start-up that's setting itself apart from other wine subscription services through an ingenious packaging solution—flat wine bottles. The plastic bottles are designed in the classic Bordeaux style and feature a flattened design that is neatly packaged in a slim box that is slotted into one's home letterbox for convenient delivery.
If a parcel is too large to be slotted into one's home letterbox, a consumer must either: be home for a delivery to be made or go to pick up the package where it is securely being stored by the delivery company. Unfortunately, sometimes packages are left at one's doorstep and theft occurs.
The problems solved by this flat wine bottle design remind of a similar solution offered by Bloom & Wild, which gives consumers the option to order 'Letterbox Flowers,' or bouquets that can be easily slotted into one's mailbox.
