Transformed Design Caravans

Five AM Overhauled a Caravan to Function as a Mobile Work Space

Five AM, an architecture firm that's based out of Kortrijk, Belgium, created a mobile workspace which it called 'Dojo Wheels' to increase its productivity on the road. This project made the Five AM team the 'Architizer A+Awards' winners.

Although the dimensions are tiny, the firm transformed the interior to be surprisingly expansive. Five AM succeeded in this by using white and lightly colored wood -- which helped tremendously in opening up the space. In addition to seeming larger, the interior allows Five AM to use the space for whatever's needed, given that "It can easily change its setup to offer the user the most practical surrounding."

The white walls dual-function as pegboards as well -- granting ample space for temporary storage containers and more to be put up. In addition, "The flat surface acts as a bed, couch and table with storage available underneath."
